Couple still in critical condition after Sunday accident

NORWICH – A Norwich couple involved in a two-car accident that landed six in the hospital remain in critical condition, surrounded by dozens of family and friends.

Brian, 41, and Teresa Conant, 49, remain in the intensive care unit at Wilson Regional Medical Center in Johnson City after under going surgery, reported the family.

Brian’s brother, Mark Conant, speaking on behalf of the family, said his younger brother’s condition remains critical after Sunday’s Rt. 12 accident.

“In the last few days we’ve had some very serious conversations and we were told at the beginning that the outlook was not good,” he said.

Mark said his brother was a regular runner and an athlete.

“They said because he was so active and athletic that his body processed oxygen more efficiently, helping him beat the odds a little,” he said.
