Skillin’s Jewelers:
• The longtime Norwich jewelry store/apartment building on Broad Street has received a power wash, custom windows, special showcase window trim and a fresh coat of paint in the 19th Century style.
• Owner Hal Skillin said green awnings on all front windows and over the main entrance will finish off the project.
• A portion of the work was afforded via state funding of $30,000 through the Norwich Business Improvement District. Construction estimates were solicited in the fall, work began in May and the project should be completed by new week.
