BAINBRIDGE – In the aftermath of an alcohol-related crash early Saturday morning, a van containing five area teenagers rolled over in the Town of Bainbridge, killing one, causing serious injuries to three others, and leaving the operator charged with manslaughter.

The driver of the vehicle, 17-year-old Trebor E. Hoxie of Norwich, was released from Lourdes Hospital Saturday and charged with second degree vehicular manslaughter. He was arraigned in the Town of Bainbridge Town Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $200,000 cash bail.

The New York State Police reported that Ashley Crisell, 18, of Norwich, suffered major head trauma and was pronounced dead at Wilson Regional Medical Center in Johnson City.

State police released the injuries of the three other teen passengers, who were still receiving treatment at Wilson Medical Center Sunday evening.

• Kathryn McLaughlin, 17, of Mount Upton, suffered a skull fracture, broken pelvis, and foot amputation. She remains in critical condition at Wilson Hospital.
