Oxford finishes unbeaten in league play

OXFORD – Oxford completed its third straight unbeaten season in Midstate Athletic Conference competition, and will play for the league title this Saturday against either Sidney or Walton.

Alex Champlin had his second straight 30-point game finishing with 32 points and 10 rebounds. Tom Gould added 10 points, and Cory Seiler dished out eight assists.

Every player on the Oxford roster scored, and the Blackhawks take a 13-game winning streak into the title game.

Over the course of the weekend – including Friday’s girls’ basketball game against the Bobcats – the Blackhawks raised money for the American Cancer Society. Varsity girls’ basketball coach, Chris Palmer, reported that $1,650 was raised for charitable donation.
