Southtown Quickway robbed at gunpoint

SOUTH NEW BERLIN – The New York State Police at Norwich responded to a reported armed robbery to the Quickway convenience store on State Route 8 in South New Berlin Wednesday.

Chenango County Emergency services received a 911 call at approximately 7:31 p.m. from that location. State Police patrols were assisted by the Town of New Berlin Police Department, along with the Chenango County Sheriff's Office.



A white male described as approximately 5'9"-5'10" tall, and 160 pounds, wearing a black ski mask, with a grey hooded sweatshirt, underneath a white and black checkered flannel jacket, displayed a long gun and demanded cash.

The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. The investigation is continuing by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Fled on foot and couldn't be caught? Looks like the robber knew he could get away with it.

More than likely he run from the store and right into the pub. Good ole south town.

I guess We'll never hear anymore about that either! No one seems to be getting caught for robbery and murder around here.
