Cody Hall scored all five goals for the Raiders (12-5), who play the winner of Laurens and Hunter-Tannersville on Friday.

Hall’s first and third tallies came on a cross from Joe Acanfora, who moved the ball up fron the right side of the field. The second goal came on a cornerkick header, again from Acanfora. “We were able to free the outside midfield, and it’s something we’ve tried to do all season,” said G-MU coach Mark Luettger.

GREENE – Greene started strong and never faded in winning its Class C sectional opener Tuesday afternoon.

Mark Day scored after a through ball pass from Alex Driscoll just 1:02 into the game. Driscoll, Jake Shearer, Corey Dietrich, and Eli Marks added goals.

“We controlled the ball most of the first half and played real solid,” said Greene coach Rick Tallman. “It was nice to get the reserves in during the second half.”
