City Codes looks at electric vehicle

NORWICH – The City of Norwich Code Enforcement Office has been using bicycles for in-city travel over the summer months to reduce their fuel spending, but with the winter months rapidly approaching, they are looking at other options for gas-free travel.

City of Norwich Code Enforcement Officer Jason Lawrence is testing out an electric vehicle that resembles a golf cart. The vehicle, created by Club Car, can reach a maximum speed of 25 miles per hour.

“We haven’t bought it yet. We’re just exploring options for going greener,” Lawrence said.
