Cyclones top Whitesboro

NORWICH – The Norwich Cyclones’ A team defeated Whitesboro, 38-12, Sunday at Alumni Field, while the C team fell short, 19-12.

The A team scored early on three first-quarter touchdowns. Kyle Edwards began the TD onslaught witha 15-yard scamper, Lucas Lyons followed with a five-yard plunge, and Jaden MacRabie added a five-yard run. MacRabie was also 3-for-3 kicking two-point conversions.



Keegan Franklin ranb for aseven-yard TD, and Edwards finished the Cyclones’ parae with a 60-yard interception return. Marcus Dodd and Michael Oralls contributed point-after runs..

On defense, Dodd had two interceptions and Garrett Steiber another. Matt Murray recovered a Warriors fumble at the 13-yard line. Trent Stone, Steiber, Brad Chawgo, Graydon Murphy, Bryce Fairbanks, Lyons, Raffee Morehead, Dane Jeffrey, and MacRabie played good defense along with the entire defensive units holding the Warriors in check until late in the game.
