Sherburne sweeps doubleheader from Oxford

OXFORD – Sherburne swept a doubleheader from Oxford Tuesday in the Otsenango Pony League taking the first, 13-0 over five innings, and edging Oxford, 6-3 in the nightcap.

Alec Sheddon pitched a two-hit shutout in the opener striking out three. Charlie Edmonds, Derrek Ferris, Deven Ferris, Cory Musician, and Mike Wilson all had two hits apiece. Sherburne took the lead with four runs in the second, then added three more in the third.



Jobi Cage logged three innings allowing three runs for the win in the second contest, and Mike Wilson mopped up with two scoreless, hitless innings for the save.
