NORWICH – Sidney averted an Oxford-Norwich comeback victory getting the final out with the bases loaded to hold on for an 8-6 American Legion baseball win at Norwich Thursday night.
Sidney put two runs on the board in the first inning and four more in the second against losing pitcher Christian Hotaling to build a 6-1 advantage. Hotaling would settle down pitching three scoreless innings before giving up the pitching duties.
