NORWICH – Norwich clinched a winning season as it enters sectional play next week coasting to a non-league win over local rival Oxford Friday.

Tim Clark pitched a complete-game four-hitter striking out eight, and the Tornado (9-7) scored in every frame save the fifth inning. “We were just extremely relaxed at the plate and picking the ball up well out of the pitcher’s hand,” said Norwich coach John Martinson.

Already leading 5-1, Norwich doubled its output getting ribbies from Christian Hotaling, Parick Coates, and Paddy Law. Andrew Austin finished off the inning smacking a two-run double.

Josh Borfitz and Mike Moon had 2-for-3 days, while Clark and Tyler Saroka also had two hits.
