Norwich infestation

Jay Travis, owner of Honest John’s Hot Dog Stand stationed on the corner of West Park Place and North Broad Street, is seen here raking away nests of tent worms that descended out the trees in downtown Norwich Wednesday afternoon. Thousands of the caterpillar-like creatures collected on benches, doors awnings and sidewalks, as passers-by and business owners tried to avoid the critters.
