Unadilla Valley 12, Greene 8
NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley reached double digit runs for the second straight game to edge Greene Thursday for its third win of the season.
Tyler Peet came on to pitch two innings of scoreless relief to wrap up the win for starter Rastus Hendershot. Jake Curtis had two hits and four RBI for the Storm, and Darin Garcia went 3-for-4 with two RBI. “We came up with some big hits, and they walked a lot of guys,” said UV coach Tom Locke. “We took advantage of situations their pitchers got them into.”

Deposit 14, Oxford 6
DEPOSIT – Deposit’s strong hitting lineup pounded out 14 base knocks in a comfortable win over the Blackhawks Thursday.
Number nine hitter Mike Katen stroked a two-run homer in the second, and Ben Winans dealt Oxford a crushing blow smacking a grand slam to cap a five-run fifth.
“I felt at the start of the season Delhi would be one of the top teams in our division,” said Oxford coach Chris Palmer. “We battled to the end hitting-wise, but we have a lot of work to do defensively.”
Oxford committed six errors to offset an 11-hit day. P.J. Hubman tripled twice and drove in a run for the Blackhawks, and Robert Amor along with Nick Gates notched matching two-hit days.

Afton 11, B-G 1
AFTON – Coming into the week with a four-game losing streak, the Crimson Knights won their second straight game, and have allowed just one run over that 14-inning stretch.
“Our pitching is doing well and our defense is starting to tighten up,” said Afton coach Ron Rapp. “It took us a while to have a lineup that was solid, and tonight everybody contributed.”
