Bar Association to honor Wright with Liberty Bell award

NORWICH – Each year, a Chenango County resident is awarded for their efforts put forth to be an outstanding contributing citizen.

This year, the Chenango Bar Association will award James Walter “Jim” Wright the Liberty Bell award on Law Day, May 2.



This annual award recognizes distinguished contributions by non-lawyers to the public’s appreciation and understanding of the law. Wright, a reporter for Binghamton’s Press & Sun Bulletin, is the Chenango County Bureau Chief.

Wright, a Norwich resident, has been in Chenango County courtrooms for many years, and for the past 35 years he has been an active member of the Fireman’s Association of New York state.
