Norwich house fire early Wednesday

NORWICH – At 1:24 a.m. Wednesday morning, Norwich firefighters were dispatched to a house fire at 55 Sheldon St. The home belongs to City of Norwich Fifth Ward Alderman Paul Laughlin and his wife. The couple reported the fire in the rear living area on the first floor.



“There was a brief fire early this morning that caused a lot of smoke more than anything else,” said Police and Fire Chief Joseph Angelino.
