Fire destroys family home in Coventry

COVENTRY – The Coventry Volunteer Fire Company responded to a house fire early Saturday morning along State Highway 41 in the Town of Coventry.



Crews from the Coventry, Afton, Bainbridge, Greene and Hapursville fire departments arrived at 1794 St. Hwy. 41 at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday to discover the residence engulfed in flames.

The home belonged to Vincent Moore Jr. and his family, who were at home at the time of the fire. The house was “completely destroyed and a total loss,” said First Assistant Chief Daniel Clark of the Coventry FD.
