Chenango County Highway Department crews erected steel “I” beams over concrete supports for the new state Route 32B/Halfway House Bridge yesterday. The $2.9 million span over the Chenango River is 95 percent funded via the federal and state highway departments. The project began in last fall and is scheduled to open August 2008.
