Unadilla Valley 43, Delhi 28

NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley halted a two-game losing streak getting a big spark off the bench from Sally Hartwick in Monday’s win over the Bulldogs.

Hartwick bucketed eight points to go with her 12 rebounds and three steals. Hannah Johnson and Katelyn Ross netted 10 apiece for the Storm (8-9). “That was probably the best game Sally has ever played,” said UV coach Brandi Backus. “She was definitely a spark, and it’s nice to have somebody different stepping up each game.”

UV hosts Unatego tonight.

Cooperstown 56, Sherburne-Earlville 34

COOPERSTOWN – Sherburne-Earlville suffered through its third straight poor shooting night, and dropped its second contest to Cooperstown in a week’s time.

Kate Kring and Samantha Fox scored 12 points apiece for the unbeaten Redskins, who won by night points at Sherburne-Earlville a week earlier. “We had all kinds of scoring opportunities and just missed them,” said S-E coach Jeff Barry. “The last three games, we have missed shots that we normally make.”

S-E shot 4-for-31 from the field in the first half and made just 1-for-6 from the foul line in the second quarter to trail 28-13.

Top two S-E scorers, Megan Record and Courtney Kurtz, combined for just one point in the contest. Karli Harris had 12 points in a losing effort.

S-E (15-4) hosts Sauquoit Valley Thursday.
