Walton 43, Unadilla Valley 39
NEW BERLIN – Having won all of its league games by 20 points or more, Walton survived a scare at Unadilla Valley Thursday night.
The Storm had possession of the ball with 49 seconds left and the score tied at 39-39, but turned the ball over on offense. Walton’s Brad Hodges converted a layup at the other end, and Patrick O’Brien hit two free throws late to wrap up the victory.
“It was a good game all the way through, and we played with a lot of passion,” said UV coach Matt Osborne. “We just didn’t execute the little things at the end.”
Mason Wyman scored 17 points for the Storm, while Darin Garcia and Raffi Perry netted 10 apiece.

Sherburne-Earlville 45, Waterville 25
SHERBURNE – Sherburne-Earlville completed its first season sweep of Waterville since joining the Midstate Athletic Conference, while also rebounding from a lopsided loss earlier in the week.
“The defensive effort was outstanding, and it’s the best defense I have seen at Sherburne-Earlville,” lauded S-E coach Jeff Parry. “We had our hands on the ball, we played the passing lanes, switched on screens, and the kids boxed out. We limited them to one shot all night.”
Courtney Kurtz completed a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Megan Welshko added 11 boards, and Danielle Green had eight points and eight rebounds.
