Police remove nearly 40 neglected dogs from a barn and arrest their owner

GERMAN – Authorities seized nearly 40 caged dogs from a Town of German property because the animals were allegedly not receiving adequate care.

The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the SPCA Sunday and the agencies rescued 37 ill-kept, short haired terriers found in several steel cages inside a barn. The barn is located on the property of Barbara Brentana, 51, of Burkholder Road, McDonough.

Where can I find out more about the dogs? I lost my dog about a year ago to old age and I
sure do miss the old boy. It’s about time now and I would like to get a new dog! I could offer one of these dogs a good home.
