Four arrested in rash of burglaries

NORWICH – Four men have been arrested following an extensive investigation into several burglaries that stretched across the county recently.

The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested the men and charged each with several felonies.

• Jerry W. Armondi Jr. and Bret J. Parker, both 20, Norwich, were charged with second degree burglary, three counts of third degree burglary, third degree criminal mischief, attempted burglary, tampering with physical evidence and fourth degree conspiracy, all felonies. In addition, the two men were also charged with several misdemeanors including petit larceny, fifth degree conspiracy, third degree trespassing and endangering the welfare of a child.



• Ryan A. Mckissik, 18, Norwich, was arrested in connection to the crimes and charged with third degree burglary, attempted burglary and fifth degree conspiracy.

• A 15-year-old male from Norwich was also charged with second degree burglary and fifth degree conspiracy.

Police allege the four were responsible for either thieving or burglarizing the following locations: residences in the Town of Columbus, Curtis Lumber in Sherburne, NYSEG, Kelly’s Cans Redemption Center and Pro-Tel in Norwich as well as the South New Berlin Quickway.
