EOH East Gallery presents “Artist in Transition”

EARLVILLE – Isabelle Garbani is a sculptress whose work is evolving.  She will be showcasing pieces from her Abstractions series and her New York series in her upcoming show titled “Artist in Transition.”  Help celebrate the opening of Artist in Transition at the reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday or visit the exhibit through Jan. 12.  Everyone who attends the opening reception on Saturday will receive a $5 Earlville Opera House gift certificate good on a performance in November or December.

Isabelle Garbani is a people-watcher; then she translates her interpretations of idiosyncratic behavior through form, materials and color.  “In the Abstractions series, I focus on the meaning of the observed human gestures, and push form and materials to have every aspect of the sculptures support the concept ... I combine geometric forms, with organic ones to illustrate our fear of chaos, disorder, and our many attempts at controlling the wild and the natural.
