S-E 2, Mt. Markham 1 (OT)

SHERBURNE – Sherburne-Earlville overcame a stunning and unexpected beginning to win for the seventh time in nine matches this season.

Mt. Markham tallied just 2:55 into the game setting the Marauders on their heels. Karli Harris would tied the game with just 31 seconds left in the first half, and that score stood up until the final 90 seconds of overtime. Harris had her second goal of the game getting a feed from Courtney Kurtz. “We didn’t play as well as we needed to from the beginning, but we fixed it,” said S-E coach Sheila Cooman. “It doesn’t show in the score, but we really dominated.”

S-E hosts Hamilton today.
