Greene 4, Vestal 0

GREENE – The Trojans answered their first division loss earlier this week with a shutout victory over longtime foe Vestal Thursday.

Christine Conroe set up one goal and finished off the Trojans’ scoring with one of the team’s prettiest goals this season. Taking a crossing pass from Andrea Day, Conroe fired a one-timer into the cage. Day also had a goal and Holly Davis finished with two goals in the win. “We started off sluggish and then kind of got it together,” said Greene coach Sue Carlin. “Christine’s stickwork was great tonight and she just makes things happen. The play she scored on, I couldn’t have drawn it up any better.”

The Trojans’ defense did not allow a shot and held a 15-0 advantage over the Golden Bears.
