NORWICH -– Architectural design work continues on the estimated $2.3 million West Park Place Office project, formerly known as the Chenango County Jail and Sheriff’s Office.
Members of Ithaca-based John Snyder Architects were on hand at a meeting of the Chenango County Agriculture, Buildings & Grounds Committee Tuesday to describe progress and some cost-saving measures undertaken. The scope of the work includes demolishing the 103-year old cell block in between the two structures and creating two, stand-alone, refurbished office buildings complete with elevators, a courtyard and statuary and parking spaces on the north side.
