NORWICH – Commerce Chenango honored its 2007 award recipients at the 6th Annual Report to the Membership Luncheon Thursday at Howard Johnson’s in Norwich.
Brenda Westcott, Steel Sales, is the recipient of The Woman/Minority-Owned Business of the Year award. This award was presented to Westcott for her commitment and faith in doing business in Chenango County and her perseverance to succeed in a very unique industry.
The Agriculture Advocate of the Year recipient is Rebecca Hargrave, Cornell Cooperative Extension. Hargrave has been a substantial contributor in her stand to increase the awareness of the issues facing the agriculture industry. This award is in recognition of her outstanding leadership and advocacy for the future of agriculture in Chenango County.
