“We were playing from in front most of the game, and I think we may have gotten a little lackadaisical in the fourth quarter,” said Greene coach Jeff Paske. “We relaxed, and I thought we could have done a better job closing them out.”

John Carlin scored all eight of his points in the second and Don Amell six helping the Trojans erase an early Delhi lead. Porter led Greene with 17 points.

BAINBRIDGE – Oxford won its fourth straight game and held back B-G’s comeback bid in the second half Tuesday.

The Blackhawks led by as many as 12 in the second half, however, the Bobcats closed to within three points in the fourth quarter behind the scoring of senior Willie McGinnis. Steve Locke had two key baskets in the last stanza for Oxford to keep his club in the lead.

Kyle Smith sparked Oxford (7-6) off the bench scoring all seven of his points in the second quarter helping his club establish a seven-point halftime lead. “We let down a little on defense in the second quarter, and they scored some fast-break layups that hurt us,” said B-G coach Ben Nelson.
