New homes being built in City of Norwich attracting attention

NORWICH – Few homes have been constructed within the Norwich City limits in the past years, but two new homes are now being built in close proximity to the Norwich City High School.

“There’s been a lot of addition, subtraction and demolition of houses, but these are the only two homes being constructed within the last year,” said City Code Enforcement Officer Jason Lawrence. Gary Brightman is the developer for the project. He will be building two high-efficiency houses on the corner of Birdsall and Davis streets, based on the architectural designs of Meyers Engineering. The floor plans for both homes show them each to have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large front porch and a square footage of between 1,600 to 1,700 square feet. Both homes will include a two-car garage and radiant, in-floor heating.
