Lincklaen voters extend office terms

LINCKLAEN – Voters in the Town Lincklaen said Tuesday that they are satisfied with their leadership. If elected again next year, Supervisor Wayne C. Outwater - who has been in office for 11 years - will hold the seat for four years rather than the traditional two.

The term for highway superintendent was also extended from two to four years. James C. Fuller, Jr. has held that position in Lincklaen for 30 years.

“Why not extend the terms?” Outwater said this morning. “We have a town justice for four years, four town councilman and the town clerk - they’re all four-year terms.”
