GILBERTSVILLE – After a year of planning and organizing volunteers from the Major’s Inn are ready to put on the annual Quilt Show.
Theme of this year’s show is “Harvest of Quilts.” The shows will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 6 and 7 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct.8. All shows will be held at the Majors’ Inn in downtown Gilberstville. There will be a $5 donation that benefits restoration of the inn.
The show will include a mixture of antique, vintage and new quilts. The quilts will be displayed throughout the 52-room Tudor style inn. Volunteers say the inn itself provides the perfect atmosphere for the show. The inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
