Oxford 3, B-G 3
OXFORD – Bainbridge-Guilford, outplayed much of the game, scored two goals 2 1/2 minutes apart in the final eight minutes to forge a tie with the Blackhawks Tuesday.
Freshman Josh Norris scored at 8:06 and at 5:57 to knot the game up.
The Blackhawks led 3-1 on the strength of two Kilean Maynard goals and a Kyle Farrington tally. “They capitalized on a couple defensive breakdowns, and we certainly should have found the net more tonight that we did,” said Oxford coach Tim Paden. “We put it on auto pilot and hoped to cruise through with a win, and you just can’t do that.”
Oxford (2-1-1) hosts Greene Friday at 7 p.m.
