Norwich soccer team leaves its mark

NORWICH – Unlike the other fields in the Norwich City School District, Perry Browne’s is one that also serves as playground, game field, and source of school pride.

The varsity girls soccer team painted their message for all visitors and future players to see on Wednesday by the tennis courts. The spot for the message has been used in recent years for the same thing: to show Purple Pride.

The spot was sealed by Skip Leibundgut, paint for event was donated by Giltner’s and the Nassar family donated the paint brushes. The girls seemed anxious and excited to be the team to re-paint the emblem.
