NORWICH – Kurt Beyer Pool in Norwich sent a team to the New York State Parks Lifeguard Competition at Green Lakes State Park in Manlius last week. The team consisted of JoEllen Aikins, Sean Lorenz, Rachel Lorenz, Naoma Wenzel (alternate) and pool director Noreen Wessels. They competed in six events testing first aid scenarios and lifeguarding skills.
