Sherburne car enthusiast joins high performance tour

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sherburne resident Jason Ray and his 1964 Ford Galaxie joined other hot-rodders and car enthusiasts for America’s largest rolling car show.

“Jason and his hot rodding peers bring the pages of HOT ROD Magazine to life through the HOT ROD Power Tour. The passion for performance is what drives automotive culture,” said Jerry Pitt, HOT ROD Magazine publisher.

This year’s tour, presented by GM Performance Division and co-sponsored by Flowmaster, began in Orlando June 3 and will cover over 1,533 miles before reaching the finish line in Englishtown, New Jersey June 9 at the Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. Along the way, spectators cheer on more than 2,300 car hobbyists as they participate in this uniquely American event, a rolling car show. Some 1,300 “long-haulers” will run the entire route.

“Ray belongs to a powerful force in this country. he is joined by millions of others whose passion for automotive culture and technology drives successful businesses all over the world – especially small to mid-size businesses. he is participating in one of the few success stories in the auto industry today,” said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president, marketing and communications.
